Italy–India Partnership in Focus as New Delhi Prepares for EIMA Agrimach 2025
25 November 2025, New Delhi: Preparations are in full swing for the ninth edition of EIMA Agrimach, one of India’s leading exhibitions for agricultural machinery and technology, set to open on November 27 at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), widely known as the Pusa Institute. The event, which will run until November 29, places renewed emphasis on the strategic collaboration between Italy and India in accelerating agricultural mechanisation.
Organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Italian association of agricultural machinery manufacturers FederUnacoma, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Italian Trade Agency, the exhibition returns to New Delhi after two editions in Bangalore in 2022 and 2024. Those southern editions were designed to meet the specific mechanisation needs of horticulture and fruit and vegetable production in southeastern and southwestern India.
Over 180 Brands Ready to Exhibit India-Focused Mechanisation Technologies
The 2025 edition will feature more than 180 Indian and international exhibitors, including 18 Italian manufacturers, spread across a 30,000 square metre show area. The exhibits will showcase a comprehensive range of technologies, including soil preparation tools, seeders, tractors, sprayers, irrigation systems, and cutting-edge digital agriculture solutions.
Over 40,000 visitors are expected, reflecting the strong interest in technologies suited to India’s varied agroclimatic zones. The exhibition aims to address the needs of both micro and smallholder farmers practising subsistence agriculture and larger commercial farms adopting industrial-level cultivation methods. FederUnacoma highlights that despite India’s diverse farming environments, a consistently high demand for mechanisation continues to drive market growth.
India Remains the World’s Largest Tractor Market
India maintains its position as the world’s largest tractor market with an annual average of over 900,000 units sold. Supported by targeted government policies and schemes, sales of farm equipment and implements have also shown strong growth. This makes EIMA Agrimach a strategically important platform for the global agricultural machinery industry to tap into one of the most dynamic and expanding markets worldwide.
FederUnacoma notes that the event serves not only Indian stakeholders but also international companies seeking to strengthen their footprint in South Asia. Italy views India as a crucial partner and an important gateway to neighbouring markets.
International Business Engagements Planned
The Italian Trade Agency, in collaboration with FederUnacoma, has lined up dedicated business-to-business meetings for Italian exhibitors during the first two days of the show. Delegations from Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka will participate, reinforcing India’s emerging role as a centre for agricultural technology exchange in the region.
