KisanKraft Marks 20 Years of Service to Small Farmers in India

28 August 2025, New Delhi: KisanKraft Limited completed its 20th anniversary on August 26, 2025. Established in 2005 in Bengaluru by Ravindra Agrawal, the company has worked in the field of agricultural machinery, tools, and seeds with a focus on small and marginal farmers.

KisanKraft expanded its operations over two decades to cover a wide range of farm machinery. Its portfolio grew to more than 300 models addressing different stages of the crop cycle, including land preparation, sowing, crop care, harvesting, and post-harvest handling. The company reported that its machinery had been used by over 50 lakh farmers across India.

To support production, a manufacturing facility was set up in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Alongside this, a dealer and service network of more than 5,000 outlets and 14 regional offices was created. The company also obtained BIS: ISI certifications for certain products and secured patents for innovations. It worked on mechanization methods such as Dry Direct Seeded Rice (SDSR), stubble management equipment, and electric-powered machines.

Training and capacity-building formed part of the company’s activities. Mechanics, operators, and farmers received skill development support to ensure proper use of equipment. A rental system also took shape in which machinery owners leased equipment to other farmers, creating additional access points and extending utilization.

At the time of the anniversary, KisanKraft stated its intention to expand exports to more than 50 countries and to develop equipment targeted at India’s 20 key crops, including rice, wheat, and maize. The company also indicated plans to strengthen its seed division with varieties developed for climate-resilient agriculture. Battery-powered weeders were announced as part of future product introductions.

Future priorities outlined included further expansion into rural markets, continued training programs for mechanics and farmers, and machinery tailored to regional needs. The company also noted efforts to integrate digital services such as mobile-based advisory, scheduling for service, and online spare parts ordering.
