Mahindra launches AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha Sprayer for Grapes and Pomegranate
25 September 2025, Mumbai: Mahindra Farm Equipment Business has launched the Mahindra AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha Sprayer for orchard crops. Made in Nashik, Maharashtra, the sprayer has been developed by M.I.T.R.A (Mahindra Innovative Technologies & Research for Agriculture), a fully owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. The machine is aimed at expanding mechanized spraying in India’s horticulture sector.
Designed for fruit crops such as grape and pomegranate, the tractor-driven Mahindra AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha Sprayer has a 600-liter tank, a 75 LPM diaphragm pump, and a 616 mm fan that provides air output of up to 32 m/s. This ensures uniform coverage across the plant and addresses challenges of uneven application often faced with traditional methods. Compatible with both Mahindra and non-Mahindra tractors, the sprayer is also light in weight to support lower fuel consumption.
The sprayer is fitted with a 2-speed + 1-neutral gearbox that allows users to adjust the fan speed as per weather conditions and crop requirements. Its low-height profile supports movement under canopy and trellis systems, which is essential for fruit and flower protection in high-density orchards. The tank is constructed from chemical-resistant materials, and a 3-axis toe bar supports movement through vineyard rows. By reducing physical contact with crops, the sprayer helps maintain crop integrity and reduces the risk of damage to vines or fruit.
The AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha Sprayer is equipped with 12 two-way adjustable brass nozzles for chemical application, and a 5-mode controller for spray pressure, direction, and coverage adjustments across different terrains and crop stages. A brass agitator keeps the chemical solution mixed during spraying, preventing sedimentation and ensuring uniform application. Safety features include a pressure relief valve to protect the pump and operator, and tire mud scrapers for operation in muddy or uneven field conditions.
Commenting on the launch, Dr. Anusha Kothandaraman, Vice President & Business Head of Farm Machinery & Precision Farming – Mahindra Farm Equipment Business said, “With mechanisation in crop protection growing in India, we at Mahindra are introducing the new Mahindra AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha Sprayer. With its design and functional features, the sprayer will support fruit and flower crops for better quality output. The new range is available across Mahindra MITRA dealerships in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat.”
Farmers using the AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha Sprayer have reported savings in chemicals and labour, faster spraying cycles, and improved crop health. Precision spraying equipment also plays a role in preventing disease, reducing chemical use, improving crop quality, and enhancing farm productivity and yield while saving time and labour.
