Established in 1965 in a small kibbutz in Israel’s Negev Desert, Netafim has grown into a global leader, transforming farming practices in over 110 countries through its groundbreaking drip irrigation technologies.

From humble beginnings to global impact, Netafim has enabled more than 8.5 million farmers to increase crop yields while conserving water and other resources—addressing pressing global challenges like water scarcity and food insecurity.

“This anniversary marks our unwavering commitment to transforming obstacles into opportunities,” said Gaby Miodownik, Executive Vice President and President of Orbia’s Precision Agriculture business (Netafim). “From pioneering the world’s first commercial dripper in 1966 to launching digital solutions like GrowSphere™ today, our mission remains clear—to help farmers grow more with less.”

With agriculture consuming nearly 70% of the world’s freshwater and an increasing number of regions experiencing severe water shortages, Netafim’s role has become more critical than ever.
