High-Yielding Soybean Varieties for Central India: Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bundelkhand

25 May 2025, New Delhi: The optimum window for soybean sowing across Central India—including Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Bundelkhand in Uttar Pradesh—extends from mid-June to early July, following 100 mm monsoon rainfall. Deep summer ploughing every three years and two rounds of criss-cross harrowing are essential for yield stability. 

The centrally notified high-yielding soybean varieties suitable across these states include NRC 165, JS 22-12, JS 22-16, NRC 150, NRC 152, JS 21-72, RVSM 2011-35, NRC 138, EMS 100-39, RVS 76, NRC 142, NRC 130, MACS 1520, RSC 10-46, RSC 10-52, AMS-M-B-5-18, AMS 1001, JS 20-116, JS 20-94, JS 20-98, and NRC 127. Additionally, state-specific varieties include NRC 157, NRC 131, NRC 136 for Madhya Pradesh, and MAUS 725, Phoole Durva (KDS 992) for Maharashtra. Farmers across these states are encouraged to select from these varieties for optimum yield potential.
