25 May 2025, New Delhi: The optimum time for soybean sowing in Madhya Pradesh is from the second week of June to the first week of July, post-monsoon arrival with at least 100 mm rainfall. Farmers are advised to carry out deep summer ploughing once in three years for yield stability, followed by two criss-cross harrowings. In normal years, criss-cross harrowing followed by planking is sufficient for field preparation.
