
High-Yielding Soybean Varieties Recommended for Maharashtra: Sowing Season and Approved List
25 May 2025, New Delhi: For Maharashtra, soybean should be sown from the second week of June to the first week of July, only after receiving a minimum of 100 mm monsoon rainfall. Deep summer ploughing every three years along with two criss-cross harrowings ensures field readiness and yield stability.
The centrally approved high-yielding varieties suitable for Maharashtra include NRC 165, JS 22-12, JS 22-16, NRC 150, NRC 152, JS 21-72, RVSM 2011-35, NRC 138, EMS 100-39, RVS 76, NRC 142, NRC 130, MACS 1520, RSC 10-46, RSC 10-52, AMS-M-B-5-18, AMS 1001, JS 20-116, JS 20-94, JS 20-98, and NRC 127. Furthermore, the State Government of Maharashtra recommends high-yielding varieties such as MAUS 725 and Phoole Durva (KDS 992).
