Mahindra Launches OJA Tractor Range in Australia, Marks 20 Years in Market
19 September 2025, Brisbane: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, has launched its OJA tractor range in Australia. The introduction coincides with 20 years of Mahindra’s operations in the country.
The company has introduced three models from the OJA 1100 and 2100 series in the sub-compact and compact categories. These are the OJA 1123 HST (hydrostatic transmission), OJA 1126 HST and OJA 2126 HST.
The tractors are equipped with a button-operated PTO and a loader with higher lift capacity. They include a digital driver display, hydraulic system and power steering. Cabin options are available depending on usage requirements. The tractors are also fitted with projector-style headlights for visibility in low-light conditions. The driver seat has foldable armrests, and the controls are color-coded.
The name OJA is derived from the Sanskrit word Ojas, meaning “power.” The platform has been developed jointly by Mahindra Research Valley in India and Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery in Japan. The OJA tractors are part of a lightweight 4WD tractor platform designed for international markets.

The tractors are manufactured at Mahindra’s facility in South India. Models from the OJA series are also being rolled out in the United States, Canada, Thailand and India.
