BASF Launches Kilymos® Fungicide for Rice at 2026 Rice Harvest Opening in Brazil
25 February 2026, Brazil: BASF has launched Kilymos®, a fungicide developed exclusively for rice cultivation, during the Opening of the 2026 Rice Harvest held in Capão do Leão, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Kilymos® is positioned for the management of key foliar diseases in rice. The product combines two active ingredients: tricyclazole, used for the control of rice blast, and Revysol®, a triazole molecule from BASF designed for the management of leaf spots.
According to the company, the fungicide is intended for preventive and curative use within rice disease management programs. It targets major diseases affecting Brazilian rice production, including rice blast, brown spot, and sheath blight, which are associated with hot and humid growing conditions.
BASF stated that Kilymos® was developed specifically for rice, from formulation to agronomic positioning, and will be integrated into disease management programs across different rice-producing regions in Brazil.
