Selection Methodology Under Prime Minister Dhan-DhaanyaKrishiYojana
22 July 2026, New Delhi: The 100 districts under Prime Minister Dhan-DhaanyaKrishiYojana (DDKY) have been selected based on three indicators of low productivity, low cropping intensity and less agriculture credit disbursement.
The number of districts for each State is based on net cropped area and number of operational holdings, ensuring balanced regional development and fostering agricultural growth where it is most needed.
The methodology used published data, which is already in public domain, of above mentioned three indicators. Each State was covered under DDKY, with at least 1 district, based on net cropped area and number of operational holdings, hence question of exclusion does not arise. Further, if States identify additional districts that require similar focused attention, they may adopt and replicate the same framework and approach in those districts using their existing administrative mechanisms and available scheme resources.
