Krishak Jagat Foundation Conducts Farmer Training Programme on Third Crop Technology

07 May 2026, Bhopal: Krishak Jagat Foundation organized a farmer training programme in Bilkisganj near Sehore district focusing on Kharif, Rabi, and Zaid crop production and management. The training highlighted the importance of adopting third crop technology by cultivating summer crops after the Rabi harvest to improve farm income and cropping intensity.

During the programme, agriculture representative Hariom Verma shared technical guidance on achieving higher productivity in Kharif and Rabi crops. Farmers were also trained on scientific cultivation practices for third crops such as moong and maize during the summer season, including crop planning, nutrient management, irrigation practices, and timely sowing.

The training session covered important agricultural topics including crop residue management, the e-token system, balanced fertilizer application, irrigation management, pest and disease control, timely crop advisories, soil testing, deep ploughing, and the expansion of water conservation structures.

Farmers actively participated in the discussions and received practical guidance on reducing cultivation costs and improving productivity through modern agricultural technologies and sustainable farming practices.
