Mahindra Sells 64,846 Tractors in October 2026, Domestic Sales Decline 13%

02 November 2026, Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) recorded total tractor sales of 64,846 units in October 2026, registering a 12% decline compared with 73,660 units sold in October 2025. The decline in overall sales was primarily driven by lower domestic volumes amid a shift in the festive calendar, as Diwali falls in November this year compared with October last year.

Domestic tractor sales stood at 62,626 units in October 2026, down 13% from 72,071 units in the corresponding month of the previous year. In contrast, the company’s export performance remained strong, with overseas sales increasing 40% to 2,220 units from 1,589 units in October 2025.

Commenting on the monthly performance, Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “We have sold 62,626 tractors in the domestic market during October. The volume decline was primarily due to festive calendar shift, with Diwali moving to November this year from October last year. In the export markets, we have sold 2,220 tractors.”

Despite the year-on-year decline in October, Mahindra’s cumulative tractor sales maintained positive growth during the first seven months of FY2026–27. Domestic sales between April and October 2026 reached 325,498 units, compared with 319,407 units in the corresponding period of FY2025–26, representing an increase of 2%.
