Mahindra Tractor Sales Rise 12% in June 2026, Domestic Market Drives Growth

01 July 2026, Mumbai:  Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. reported a 12% year-on-year increase in tractor sales for June 2026, supported by robust domestic demand and continued momentum in exports despite emerging weather uncertainties linked to potential El Niño conditions.

The company’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) sold 58,177 tractors in the domestic market during June 2026, compared with 51,769 units in the corresponding month last year, registering a 12% growth.

Including exports, total tractor sales reached 59,935 units in June 2026, up from 53,392 units in June 2025, also reflecting a 12% year-on-year increase. Exports stood at 1,758 units, marking an 8% growth over the previous year.

Commenting on the performance, Veejay Nakra said the company achieved strong domestic sales despite the early concerns surrounding the possible impact of El Niño on the upcoming Kharif season.

He noted that while it remains too early to fully assess the weather pattern’s implications, continued government support through fertilizer subsidies and targeted interventions at the local level is expected to reduce risks for farmers and help sustain agricultural activity during the Kharif season. Nakra also highlighted that export sales grew by 8% year-on-year during the month.

The company has also maintained strong momentum during the first quarter of FY2026-27. Cumulative domestic tractor sales for April–June 2026 reached 152,426 units, compared with 129,199 units during the same period last year, representing an 18% increase. Total cumulative sales, including exports, rose 18% to 158,041 units, while exports grew 15% to 5,615 units.
