IIAB Expo 2026 Wraps in Mumbai with Focus on Crop Protection, Biologicals and AI
Fourth edition of the India International Agri Business Conference & Expo, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai brought the agri-input Industry together.
14 August 2026, Mumbai: The fourth edition of the India International Agri Business Conference & Expo (IIAB Expo 2026) was held on 29–30 July at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai. Organised by RAY One Agri Consulting LLP, the event brought together companies from more than 15 countries, alongside a wide base of exhibitors and speakers drawn from across the agri-inputs sector.
The move to the Jio World Convention Centre marked a step up in scale for the event, giving it a venue in keeping with its growing national and international ambitions.
A B2B platform across the agri-inputs value chain
The exhibition covered the full breadth of modern agri inputs. This included agrochemical technicals, formulations and intermediates, raw materials, solvents, surfactants and adjuvants, crop nutrition and specialty plant nutrition, biologicals, biostimulants and biofertilizers, seeds, farm machinery and drones, AI, digital agriculture and precision farming, and research, innovation and agri start-ups.
For the crop-protection sector specifically, the presence of manufacturers, formulators, allied-chemical suppliers, biological-input companies, research organisations and technology providers under one roof allowed conversations to span the full chain, from sourcing and formulation through to regulation, innovation and market expansion.
UK Government as Official Country Partner
International participation featured prominently, with the UK Government taking part as Official Country Partner. A dedicated Country Hour showcased British agri-technology companies, with presentations spanning agricultural equipment, climate technology, food diagnostics, sensing solutions and water technologies.
Conference sessions: AI, regulation and doubling production
The conference opened with a CEO Forum titled “Agribusiness 2035: Innovation, AI for Better Decisions, Partnerships & New Business Models,” bringing together senior leaders from Bayer CropScience, Crystal Crop Protection, Microsoft, Tagros Chemicals and Aries Agro.
The inaugural session included the Maharashtra Minister for Agriculture, the Commissioner of Agriculture at India’s Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, the UK Government’s Trade Counsellor for South Asia, and senior industry leaders.
Other Day One sessions covered specialty nutrition, biostimulants and functional inputs, the growing biologicals segment, and the path for Indian agrochemical companies to build their own new-molecule discovery pipelines. Sahyadri Farms used the event to launch AlgaVita, an FCO-approved biostimulant.
Day Two turned to broader structural themes. A session on “Carbon-Smart Farming, Regenerative Agriculture & Climate-Resilient Crop Solutions” looked at aligning productivity with sustainability and soil health, while a session on India’s role in global agri-input trade and supply chains examined the country’s ambitions in manufacturing, sourcing and exports.
Regulation featured as a dedicated theme, with “Regulatory Landscape: Navigating the Future of Agri Inputs” bringing together specialists in agricultural policy, biotech trials licensing, research and industry. The session underlined that innovation, market access and regulatory science need to move together for crop protection to advance.
A closing panel, “Agrochemicals Industry, Make in India: Doubling in 3 Years, How & Where,” discussed manufacturing capacity, exports and supply chains, reflecting industry confidence in India’s potential as a global manufacturing and innovation base for crop protection and allied agri inputs. The programme also touched on start-ups and investment activity in the sector.
Looking ahead to IIAB Expo 2027
IIAB Expo 2027 has been announced for 27–28 July at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. Organisers positioned the fourth edition as evidence that future growth in the sector will increasingly sit at the intersection of chemistry and biologicals, domestic manufacturing and global markets, and established players and start-ups.
