Mahindra Sells 27,595 Tractors in August, Domestic Sales Rise 5%

01 September 2026, Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) sold 27,595 tractors in the domestic market in August 2026, registering a 5% year-on-year increase compared with 26,201 units sold in August 2025.

Total tractor sales, including domestic sales and exports, stood at 29,507 units in August 2026, up from 28,117 units a year earlier. Exports during the month were 1,912 tractors, broadly unchanged from 1,916 units in August 2025.

Commenting on the performance, Veejay Nakra, President, Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said that improving rainfall had supported near-normal Kharif sowing. He added that continued government support through various schemes and the approaching festive season could further strengthen rural sentiment.

For the April-August period, Mahindra’s domestic tractor sales reached 212,664 units, an increase of 17% from 182,390 units during the corresponding period last year. Exports rose 9% to 9,304 units from 8,524 units.

Overall tractor sales for the five-month period stood at 221,968 units, compared with 190,914 units a year earlier, representing 16% growth.
