2024/2025 Brazil Corn Estimate Increased 1 mt to 130.0 Million Tons

16 June 2025, Brazil: The 2024/2025 Brazil corn estimate was increased 1 million tons to 130.0 million with a neutral to slightly higher bias.

The recent frost in southern Brazil resulted in only minimal damage while late season rains benefitted the late developing corn. Many states are expecting to harvest record large safrinha corn yields, therefore the Brazilian corn estimate was increased 1.0 million tons to 130.0 million.

Mato Grosso – Safrinha corn in Mato Grosso is 2.6% harvested, compared to 10% last year and 8% average. This represents an increase of 1.7% for the week.

Parana – The Department of Rural Economics for the state of Parana (DERAL) reported that 3% of the safrinha corn is harvested, 40% maturing, 54% filling grain, 5% pollinating, and 1% vegetative development. The corn is rated 65% good, 22% average, and 13% poor.
