01 September 2026, Iowa: Albaugh announced today that the company has received U.S. Environmental Protection Agency registration for Insectiprole™ 5L ST, a new seed treatment offering that will be available for sale in late 2026 (EPA Reg. No. 45002-69).
Insectiprole™ 5L ST contains the active ingredient chlorantraniliprole, a systemic insecticide with a novel mode of action that is translocated through the seeds and into the roots and shoots of the developing plant. It is active against a range of early-season pests, including armyworms, cutworms, seedcorn maggots, wireworms, and grasshoppers, delivering rapid feeding cessation and long-lasting protection in cereal grains as well as corn, sorghum, and dry shelled peas and beans. The product offers effective protection at low use rates and has demonstrated excellent seed safety.

Insectiprole™ 5L ST will be available for use in cereals, corn, sorghum, and dry shelled peas and beans (except soybeans).
