Albaugh Introduces Malibu™ Plus D Herbicide to U.S. Crop Protection Market

15 April 2026, Iowa: Albaugh has announced that the company has received registration from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for Malibu™ Plus D herbicide (EPA Reg. No. 83100-78).

Malibu™ Plus D combines the powerful residual control of aminopyralid and the burndown speed of 2,4-D to deliver a high-performing herbicide that provides long-lasting protection against a broad range of tough annual, perennial, and biennial broadleaf weeds, including invasive and noxious weeds, in rangeland, pasture, Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), and non-crop areas.

With its systemic mode of action, Malibu™ Plus D penetrates deep into foliage and rapidly translocates throughout the plant, including the roots, ensuring thorough control. It offers a flexible application window and flexible application rates, depending on target weeds, along with excellent tank-mix compatibility with brush herbicides and liquid fertilizers.

“Malibu™ Plus D is an important, and exciting, addition to the Albaugh herbicide portfolio, especially for customers managing tough rangeland and pasture acres,” said Andy Bogue, Albaugh U.S. Sales Director – Crop Protection. “Producers need alternative solutions for long-lasting broadleaf weed control, and Malibu™ Plus D delivers the performance, flexibility, and value they need to maintain healthier, more productive pastures.”

Malibu™ Plus D will be available through authorized Albaugh distributors, pending final state registrations.
