CropLife Asia Announces New Office Bearers; BASF Executive Re-Installed as President

26 March 2026, Singapore: CropLife Asia announced a new set of office bearers following its 2026 Annual General Meeting. Simone Barg has been re-installed as President with immediate effect.

Ms. Barg serves as Senior Vice President, Agricultural Solutions Asia Pacific at BASF. She has over two decades of experience with the company, including leadership roles across business segments and involvement in transformation initiatives. She is based in Singapore.

The newly announced office bearers are:

• Ms. Simone Barg (BASF Agricultural Solutions) – President
• Mr. Paul Luxton (Syngenta) – Vice-President
• Ms. Malu Nachreiner (Bayer Crop Science) – Treasurer
• Ms. Brook Cunningham (Corteva Agriscience) – Secretary
• Mr. Rahoul Sawani (FMC Corporation) – Member
• Mr. Dai Ito (Sumitomo Chemical) – Member

Commenting on her reappointment, Ms. Barg said she will continue working with members and partners to advance science-based solutions, support farmers, and strengthen food system resilience and sustainability across the Asia-Pacific region.
