Voices On Climate: “Farmers Need Information That Is Truly Practical”

06 April 2026, Frick: Lauren Dietemann works in the area of Knowledge Exchange at FiBL and is our nex “Voice on Climate”. As part of the European OrganicClimateNET project, she is responsible for developing a knowledge database for organic farms on the topic of “carbon farming”.

OrganicClimateNET brings together nearly 20 European research institutes and organic farming associations to promote climate mitigation and adaptation in the organic sector. In this interview, Lauren Dietemann discusses, among other things, the current status of the project, how it collaborates with 250 organic farms, and how her own move into farming has changed her perspective on the exchange of knowledge between research and practice.
