Terphogz Partners with Future of Grow to Introduce Z•LED Tech to U.S. Cultivators
18 June 2025, Berlin: Terphogz™, the Northern California cannabis collective behind the globally celebrated strain “The Original Z”, has partnered with Swiss horticultural lighting innovator Future of Grow (F.O.G.) to release “Z•LED”, a limited-edition LED grow light for elite cannabis cultivators. The companies will debut the technology this week at Mary Jane – Berlin in Booths D18/D19, Hall 21A. This launch brings F.O.G.’s award-winning European lighting technology praised for its precision spectrum engineering and scientific rigor to the United States market for the first time.
F.O.G has spent nearly a decade developing high-performance LED systems in collaboration with major chip manufacturers and European agricultural universities. In 2024, F.O.G. was awarded Best Horticultural Product at Italy’s national Aptus Cup, further validating its reputation for delivering innovation with measurable results. These lights have already powered multiple first-place finishes at European cannabis competitions.
The technology behind Z•LED has demonstrated measurable gains in both potency and purity: side-by-side cultivation trials have shown 33% increases in THC and 30% higher terpene output. F.O.G is a pioneer in pathogen control. In collaboration with the Swiss School of Agricultural Engineering, F.O.G has developed advanced UVB technologies that deliver a precise dose — achieving up to 90% healthier plants without powdery mildew, comparable to the results of ARMICARB floral treatments. These results are made possible by a carefully balanced full-spectrum light that includes targeted UVA and UVB wavelengths known to stimulate secondary metabolite production and improve plant immune response.

The Z•LED system reflects F.O.G.’s commitment to long-term performance through modular construction and upgradability. Growers can easily integrate spectral boost modules (UVA, UVB, IR) and benefit from a fixture designed with future chip swaps and control upgrades in mind.

Z•LED is positioned as a precision tool for serious cultivators who want to fully express terpene-rich genetics like The Original Z. The system’s advanced thermal and electrical efficiency also reduces environmental load, cutting energy consumption by as much as 40% while minimizing heat output – key for both small-batch connoisseurs and commercial operators striving for GMP consistency. Z•LED will become available for distribution in the United States beginning Q4 2025.
