More Than 2.4 Million Meals Distributed Across the UK Through Felix’s Food Redistribution Network with the Support of ADM Cares

08 August 2026, Rolle: ADM Cares, ADM’s corporate social investment program, supported the redistribution of approximately 2.26 million pounds (1,025 metric tonnes) of high-quality surplus food to communities in need across the UK, helping reduce food waste and delivering the equivalent of 2.44 million meals through Felix’s food redistribution network. 

The initiative highlights the critical role transportation plays in tackling both food waste and food insecurity. Surplus food often has a limited window in which it can be collected, sorted, and delivered. Without the vehicles, drivers and infrastructure needed to move food quickly, much of it risks going to waste. By ensuring this food reaches those who need it most, transportation helps repurpose and redistribute surplus food to support more than 8,000 community organisations across the UK, reaching over 1.5 million people and strengthening communities nationwide.

“Transport is the critical link between surplus food and community impact,” said Mike Ward, Head of Statutory Fundraising, Trusts and Foundations. “ADM Cares’ support has helped ensure more good food reaches charities and community organisations instead of going to waste.” 

The food has benefited a wide range of organisations, including schools, community centres, homeless hostels, refuges and family support services across the UK.
