USDA to Host Virtual Data Users’ Meeting for Public Input on Statistical Programs
08 October 2026, Washington, D.C: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will hold its biannual Data Users’ Meeting virtually on Oct. 14 from Noon to 4 p.m. ET. The event is free and open to the public.
The meeting provides updates on recent and pending changes to statistical programs and invites feedback from stakeholders on programs important to agriculture.
“This biannual event is vital for both USDA data producers and users and ensures that we continue to provide timely, accurate and useful statistics for U.S. agriculture. It also allows us to answer questions about our statistical programs, gather input from stakeholders and address their concerns,” said Lance Honig, Chair of the Agricultural Statistics Board. “Transparency, collaboration and cooperation are key to maintaining the integrity of our programs, meeting the needs of data users and putting U.S. farmers first.
A detailed agenda and registration information for the Oct. 14 meeting are available at nass.usda.gov/go/data_users. The agenda includes agency updates followed by a question-and-comment session.
NASS organizes the meeting in cooperation with the World Agricultural Outlook Board, Farm Service Agency, Economic Research Service, Agricultural Marketing Service, Foreign Agricultural Service and the U.S. Census Bureau.
