The Federation of All India Farmer Associations (FAIFA) is a non-profit farmer organization representing the interests of farmers and farm workers involved in commercial crops across several Indian states, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Gujarat. The organization seeks to provide farmers with a collective voice at the regional, national, and international levels and advocates for policies aimed at supporting stable and sustainable farmer livelihoods.
FAIFA has been particularly active on issues affecting tobacco farmers and the Flue-Cured Virginia (FCV) tobacco sector, including taxation, tobacco regulation, auction markets, exports, farmer incomes, and the impact of illicit trade. It has also raised broader agricultural issues, including climate-resilient agriculture, sustainable farming, farmer incomes, crop diversification, and technology adoption.
