BASF Expands Crop Protection Portfolio in India with Launch of Melyra® and Inveris® Gold
30 June 2026, Mumbai: BASF has strengthened its crop protection portfolio in India with the launch of Melyra® Fungicide and Inveris® Gold Insecticide, two new solutions aimed at helping farmers effectively manage diseases and insect pests while improving crop productivity through science-based innovation.
Melyra® (AI: Mefentrifluconazole 200 g/l + Pyraclostrobin 200 g/l SC) is a broad-spectrum fungicide powered by Revysol® Active, BASF’s proprietary isopropanol azole molecule, developed to provide effective disease control while supporting resistance management. Co-formulated with pyraclostrobin, the fungicide also delivers AgCelence® benefits, which enhance plant health, improve crop vitality, and contribute to better overall crop performance. The product is recommended for key crops including cotton, groundnut, soybean, chilli, and tomato.
Inveris® Gold combines two active ingredients Afidopyropen 50 g/L + Abamectin 25 g/L DC to provide broad-spectrum control of major piercing and sucking insect pests, including aphids, jassids, whiteflies, thrips, mites, and leaf miners. The insecticide is designed for use in vegetable crops such as chilli, tomato, brinjal, cucumber, and okra. According to BASF, the formulation has been developed to fit into integrated pest management (IPM) programs while taking beneficial insects into consideration.
Commenting on the launch, Giridhar Ranuva, Director, BASF Agricultural Solutions India, said the company continues to expand its crop protection portfolio with solutions specifically designed for Indian farming conditions. “With BASF Melyra and Inveris Gold, we are expanding our crop protection portfolio in India with solutions tailored to local agronomic needs. These innovations reflect our ongoing investment in research and development to help farmers manage resistance, address pest and disease pressure, and improve productivity in a more sustainable way.”
