TAFE Reports 214,951 Tractor Sales in FY26; March Growth at 37.4%
03 April 2026, Chennai: Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE) reported total tractor sales of 214,951 units in FY2025–26, marking the highest annual sales in the company’s history.
In March 2026, the company recorded a growth of 37.4%, compared to 29% growth in the domestic tractor industry during the same period.
During FY26, TAFE achieved its highest-ever domestic sales. Its brands Massey Ferguson and Eicher Tractors each recorded their highest annual sales.
On the exports front, the company shipped 12,584 tractors to international markets.
To meet demand across domestic and export markets, TAFE’s manufacturing plants operated at full capacity throughout the year. The company is evaluating capacity expansion options to support future demand.
Commenting on the performance, Dr. Lakshmi Venu, Vice Chairman, TAFE, said the year saw supportive conditions for both the tractor market and farmers, aided by favourable monsoon conditions and policy support. She noted increased mechanisation in rural areas, with more small farmers adopting tractors for the first time, which could contribute to improved farm productivity and incomes.
While global geopolitical conditions and supply chain disruptions continue to exert pressure on input costs, the underlying fundamentals of Indian agriculture remain stable.
Looking ahead, the company expects growth to be supported by continued mechanisation, replacement demand, wider application of tractors and implements, and recovery in key export markets.
