Syngenta Biologicals brings together Syngenta’s global biologicals business with the capabilities of Valagro, which Syngenta acquired in 2020. The business develops science-based, nature-inspired solutions across three key areas: biocontrols for managing pests and diseases, biostimulants for improving plant performance and resilience, and Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE) products that help crops access and use nutrients more effectively.

Its portfolio includes biological products such as TAEGRO®, a biofungicide; MEGAFOL®, a biostimulant; and VIXERAN®, a foliar biofertilizer. Syngenta Biologicals also uses the GEAPOWER® technology platform, which combines chemistry, microbiology, plant science, and omics technologies to develop and validate new biological solutions.

Syngenta has significantly expanded its biologicals capabilities through acquisitions, partnerships, research investments, and manufacturing capacity. In 2025, it acquired natural-product and genetic-strain assets from Novartis and opened a 22,000-square-metre biologicals manufacturing facility in South Carolina, designed to produce up to 16,000 tonnes of biostimulants annually. Its biologicals R&D network includes centers in Switzerland, the UK, and Italy, while manufacturing capabilities span several countries including Brazil, Italy, India, Norway, and the United States.

More recently, Syngenta entered a strategic partnership with Groundwork BioAg to combine biological crop-performance solutions with soil health and soil-carbon programs, with the carbon program planned for Latin America and Europe.
