New fungicide combines Fluopicolide and Cymoxanil to target Oomycete diseases in grapes, potatoes and vegetables
29 September 2026, New Delhi: ADAMA Ltd. has announced the launch of Rexaro®, a broad-spectrum foliar fungicide for specialty crops in India, containing Fluopicolide 17.54% w/w + Cymoxanil 21.05% w/w SC as its active ingredients. The product combines two complementary modes of action and is designed to provide preventive and early curative control of key Oomycete diseases.
Rexaro® is positioned for use in grapes, potatoes and vegetables, with field trials in India demonstrating efficacy against downy mildew in grapes and cucumber and late blight in potatoes. According to ADAMA, the product also has a broader crop and disease profile, including activity against tomato root rot, downy mildew in brassicas and diseases affecting onions.
Dual-Action Fungicide for Oomycete Diseases
Rexaro® combines Fluopicolide and Cymoxanil, providing complementary modes of action for managing Oomycete pathogens. ADAMA said the fungicide is designed to deliver both preventive protection and early curative activity, giving growers flexibility in disease-management programmes.
The product features an advanced liquid formulation based on ADAMA’s Ayalon™ technology, which is designed to enhance spreading and penetration through the leaf cuticle. The formulation also provides rainfastness and disperses effectively in tank mixtures, supporting convenient application while maintaining crop safety.

Applications Across Specialty Crops
The India launch focuses on specialty crops where diseases such as downy mildew and late blight can affect crop health, yield and quality. Field evaluations conducted in India showed strong efficacy against downy mildew in grapes and cucumber and late blight in potatoes.
ADAMA said Rexaro® also has activity across a wider crop and disease spectrum, including tomato root rot, downy mildew in brassicas and onion diseases.
The company said the formulation’s rainfastness and tank-mix compatibility are intended to support consistent application performance under field conditions.
Planned Launch in Ghana
Following its introduction in India, ADAMA said Rexaro® is also planned for launch in Ghana for use in cacao crops, expanding the product’s potential application beyond the Indian specialty crop market.
