Manufacturing Powerhouse Ichiban Crop Science Strengthens India’s Agrochemical Leadership
Building a Fully Integrated Agrochemical Enterprise
08 July 2026, New Delhi: In today’s rapidly evolving agrochemical industry, Ichiban Crop Science has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing crop protection companies with a strong presence across both B2B and B2C segments. With an annual turnover exceeding ₹1000 crore, the company has established itself as a trusted name in agrochemical manufacturing through large-scale production capabilities, advanced chemistry expertise, and farmer-centric crop solutions.

Led by promoter Dr. Nikhil Aggarwal, the Ichiban Group has strategically positioned itself as a leading manufacturer of agrochemical technicals and formulations spanning herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and plant growth regulators. The company attributes its rapid growth to a strong focus on quality manufacturing, Japanese technology standards, innovation-driven operations, and backward integration.
Further strengthening the company’s leadership structure, Dr. Atulya Kumar Panda assumed the role of Joint Managing Director effective April 2026.

A founding member of the organization, Dr. A.K. Panda has played a crucial role in shaping Ichiban’s growth journey from its early stages to achieving over ₹1000 crore in revenue in the previous financial year. His strategic vision, operational leadership, and commitment to the company’s long-term goals have significantly contributed to Ichiban’s emergence as a leading Indian agrochemical enterprise.
Strong Manufacturing Backbone and Backward Integration
One of Ichiban Crop Science’s biggest strengths is its manufacturing infrastructure. The company has recently commissioned a pesticides technical plant at Keshwana in Rajasthan as part of its backward integration strategy. The plant has an installed peak production capacity of nearly 24,000 metric tonnes of active ingredients annually with interchangeable production lines designed to meet changing market demand.
In the first phase itself, the company established six multiple-product technical lines, including two insecticide lines, two fungicide lines, and two dedicated herbicide production lines. Ichiban also operates four formulation plants in Rajasthan, producing a wide range of formulations including EC, EW, SL, WP, SP, WDG, DF, SC, SE, SG, ZC, ZW and OD formulations using Japanese procedures.
Leadership in Advanced Chemistry Manufacturing
Ichiban Crop Science has built strong capabilities across several advanced agrochemical chemistries. The company highlights that it has India’s first technical plant capable of manufacturing all five strobilurin group fungicides — Azoxystrobin, Pyraclostrobin, Picoxystrobin, Trifloxystrobin and Kresoxim Methyl.
The company also has a diversified portfolio in herbicides and insecticides, manufacturing molecules such as Clodinafop Propargyl, Pyroxasulfone, Tembotrione, Chlorantraniliprole, Emamectin Benzoate, Flubendiamide. In the nicotinamide segment, Ichiban claims to be the only Indian company manufacturing the complete range including Acetamiprid, Clothianidin, Dinotefuran, Imidacloprid, Nitenpyram, Thiacloprid and Thiamethoxam.
Research, Farmer Connect and Future Growth
Supporting its manufacturing ecosystem is a world-class NABL-accredited R&D laboratory focused on bringing advanced technologies and global know-how to Indian agriculture. The company’s operations are supported by experienced scientists, technicians, and agronomists working toward building a fully integrated crop protection enterprise.
Alongside its strong B2B presence, Ichiban Crop Science also works closely with farmers through its B2C business by delivering crop protection solutions tailored for Indian farming conditions. With its manufacturing strength, diversified product portfolio, and farmer-centric approach, the company is steadily strengthening its position as one of India’s emerging agrochemical manufacturing leaders.
