UPL Appoints Sameer Tandon as President for APAC, Africa and Europe
07 August 2026, Mumbai: UPL Limited has appointed Sameer Tandon as President – APAC, Africa and Europe, expanding his leadership responsibilities as part of the company’s new global management structure announced following the leadership transition at UPL Corporation.

Under the revised organizational structure, Jai Shroff, Group Chairman and CEO, will directly lead UPL’s Global Crop Protection business, while Sameer Tandon will oversee operations across Asia-Pacific, Africa and Europe. The leadership changes are aimed at strengthening execution, accelerating decision-making, and supporting the company’s strategy to build a simpler, flatter, and more agile organization.
Tandon brings more than 26 years of leadership experience across the consumer goods and crop protection industries. His career spans both B2B and B2C businesses, with expertise in marketing, brand management, business transformation, and commercial leadership.
He has led businesses across India, Asia-Pacific and Europe, holding full profit-and-loss (P&L) responsibility and delivering business transformation initiatives, stronger customer engagement, and profitable growth across multiple markets.
The appointment is part of UPL’s broader leadership restructuring following the announcement that Mike Frank will step down as Chief Executive Officer of UPL Corporation Limited, effective August 31, 2026. Under the new structure, regional leadership responsibilities have been expanded to strengthen the company’s presence across key global markets.
Alongside Tandon’s appointment, Ashish Dobhal has been named President – Americas.
According to UPL, the new leadership structure is intended to ensure strategic continuity while improving operational execution and supporting long-term value creation for customers, partners and shareholders.
