UK Grants New Pesticide Approvals Across 15 Crop Protection Suppliers
12 October 2026, London: The British Crop Production Council (BCPC), a UK non-profit industry body, published its latest monthly update to the Online UK Pesticide Guide earlier this month, adding new product approvals, label extensions and duplicate authorizations spanning fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and amenity products from 15 crop protection suppliers operating in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. BCPC is not the regulator. The approvals themselves are granted by the Health and Safety Executive’s Chemicals Regulation Division (HSE CRD), the UK’s statutory pesticide authority. BCPC’s guide is a widely used commercial reference that compiles CRD’s decisions into a monthly, searchable digest for agronomists and farmers, and it is the source this article draws on for the product-level detail below, since CRD’s own register is a continuously updated database rather than a dated bulletin.
The update covers a wide spread of chemistry. BASF Ag Solutions added the largest number of new entries, including a standalone mefentrifluconazole product (Revysense, provisionally approved pending confirmation of marketing), two mefentrifluconazole plus prothioconazole combinations (Yanila and Stelya, both now valid to September 30, 2029), and a wheat-only version of its Revystar XE fungicide branded Revyvert XE. Syngenta listed Miravis Era, a prothioconazole and pydiflumetafen fungicide for Great Britain pending its label, alongside a pirimicarb insecticide, Pureda. FMC Agro added two cyantraniliprole products aimed at different vegetable crops and confirmed Koban, a penthoxamid herbicide for winter oilseed rape, as new for the 2027 season.
The table below itemizes the named entries from this update.

Several entries are duplicate authorizations, essentially the same formulation re-registered under a new MAPP number with an extended expiry date, rather than genuinely new chemistry. A handful, including Revysense, Koban, Constellation and Miravis Era, are listed as provisional approvals (PAR) pending final labels, meaning growers cannot yet buy and use them even though the active ingredient combination has cleared regulatory review.
