Syngenta Launches New Fungicide Kadexa SC in Canada
10 October 2026, Ontario: Syngenta Canada Inc. has launched Kadexa™ SC, a new fungicide containing fluazinam 500 g/L, for the Canadian crop protection market ahead of the 2027 growing season.
Kadexa SC is designed to control white mould in soybeans, dry beans and potatoes, late blight in potatoes, and fungal diseases affecting horticultural crops.
Fluazinam belongs to Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC) Group 29 and is used in integrated disease management and fungicide resistance-management programmes. The active ingredient helps protect crop yield and quality when applied before disease development.
Kadexa SC comes in a liquid formulation with a flexible application rate and timing window. According to Syngenta, the product can be applied alone or with compatible tank-mix partners and used in rotation programmes, subject to label directions.
The launch will bring changes to Syngenta’s fungicide portfolio in Canada. In Eastern Canada, the Kadexa SC–Quadris® Bean co-pack will replace the existing Allegro®–Quadris Bean co-pack for edible bean growers. Kadexa SC will also replace Allegro 500F in the company’s Eastern Canada portfolio.
Allegro will remain part of Syngenta’s portfolio in Western Canada for the 2027 growing season.
Janette Stewart, national horticulture marketing lead at Syngenta Canada, said the transition would bring fluazinam fully into the company’s portfolio and provide greater control over the long-term continuity of formulation and label development.
Growers can find product information through Syngenta Canada’s website or by contacting their local Syngenta sales representative.
