Verdesian Launches Phree-uP Phosphorus Efficiency Solution in Canada
21 July 2026, Cary: Verdesian Life Sciences has announced that its phosphorus efficiency product, Phree-uP, is now registered and available for distribution in Canada, expanding access to its nutrient use efficiency technology for Canadian growers and agricultural retailers.
Designed to improve phosphorus availability and uptake, Phree-uP® combines Verdesian’s proprietary XCHAIN™technology with a biostimulant to help reduce phosphorus fixation in the soil while enhancing the release of previously bound phosphorus. The product is compatible with both granular and liquid phosphate fertilizers and can be applied pre-plant, at planting, or during the growing season.
According to Verdesian, Phree-uP® delivered an average 8.8% yield increase across 66 U.S. field trials conducted between 2021 and 2025 on crops including corn, cotton, peanut, potato, and cherry.
“As fertilizer costs continue to put pressure on growers’ profitability, maximizing the value of every nutrient investment has never been more important,” said Clare Doyle, Chief Executive Officer at Verdesian Life Sciences. “With Phree-uP® now available in Canada, growers and retailers have greater access to a proven phosphorus-efficiency solution that works to strengthen their existing fertility programs. This launch reflects Verdesian’s continued commitment to delivering science-backed technologies that improve nutrient use efficiency and support long-term farm sustainability.”
