Verdesian’s Take Off® LS Earns The Fertilizer Institute Certified Biostimulant Label

06 May 2026, North Carolina: Verdesian Life Sciences has announced that its Take Off® LS biostimulant has received the Certified Biostimulant label under The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) Certified Biostimulant Program, marking another milestone for the company’s nutrient use efficiency technologies.

Take Off® LS is a liquid biostimulant formulated for foliar or in-furrow application to improve nitrogen use efficiency and enhance nutrient uptake in corn, soybeans, and other row crops. The certification confirms that the product meets industry standards related to composition, safety, efficacy, and demonstrated plant response after undergoing an independent review process.

TFI, which represents the U.S. fertilizer supply chain, launched the Certified Biostimulant Program to bring greater transparency and consistency to the rapidly growing biostimulant category. The initiative is designed to provide confidence in product performance, composition, and safety standards.

According to Dr. Kuide Qin, Chief Science Officer at Verdesian Life Sciences, the certification highlights the scientific foundation behind the company’s research and development efforts. He said the company remains focused on improving the way crops access and utilize nutrients under practical field conditions, helping deliver more consistent crop performance.

Take Off® LS has been commercially available for nearly nine years and has shown stable performance across varying growing environments. Applied during critical crop growth stages, the technology is designed to support nutrient uptake and utilization throughout the season.

The company stated that the product was developed through its research program focused on plant physiology and nutrient efficiency science. The technology works within the plant system to support carbon assimilation and optimize nitrogen and nutrient utilization, helping crops perform under different soil types, environmental conditions, and seasonal stress.

Clare Doyle, Chief Executive Officer at Verdesian Life Sciences, said growers are increasingly looking to maximize returns from every agricultural input as production costs remain high and climatic conditions become more unpredictable. She noted that Take Off® LS is intended to improve nutrient efficiency while supporting stronger and more resilient crop development.

Take Off® LS becomes the second Verdesian product to receive the TFI Certified Biostimulant designation. The company’s seed-applied biostimulant product, Primacy Alpha®, had previously earned the certification.
