22 September 2026, New Delhi: Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has ordered the immediate suspension of Anurag, a Marketing Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture, following a complaint alleging that he sought bribes from two warehouses in Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh.
According to the complaint, the officer allegedly demanded money during an inspection in Sehore in exchange for releasing subsidy amounts. A demand of ₹1 lakh was allegedly made from Shivay Warehouse in Bhairunda tehsil, while ₹60,000 was allegedly sought from Shri Krishna Warehouse in Beherakhedi village in the Rehti area.
The complaint was brought to the attention of Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who took serious note of the allegations and directed immediate action.
Following the Minister’s directions, Marketing Officer Anurag was suspended with immediate effect.
