13 August 2026, New Delhi: India’s Registration Committee (RC), at its 474th meeting held on July 30, 2026, approved the registration for indigenous manufacture of three crop protection formulations under Section 9(3) of the Insecticides Act, 1968.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. P. K. Singh, Agriculture Commissioner and Chairman, Registration Committee, and was held at the PPA Secretariat of the Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage (DPPQS), Faridabad.

The Nichino India formulation combines flubendiamide and emamectin benzoate and has been approved for insect control across maize and soybean, including fall armyworm in maize and pod borer in soybean.
The Krishi Rasayan formulation combines three active ingredients and has been approved against two major rice diseases, blast and sheath blight. The RC has mandated specific environmental and operator-safety warnings on the product label.
The Bayer CropScience formulation has been approved for management of three important rice hopper pests: brown planthopper, white-backed planthopper and green leafhopper. Its approval also carries requirements concerning storage stability studies and safety labelling.
