Multi-Pest and Multi-Crop Formulations
Several of the approved products are notable for their broad target spectrum. The Fluxametamide formulation approved for Seedlings India covers a range of economically important insect pests across six vegetable and pulse crops, while the Fluxapyroxad 333 g/L FS formulation extends disease-management applications across five crops, including cereals, oilseeds, fibre and tuber crops.
The Willowood formulation combines three insecticidal active ingredients flonicamid, chlorantraniliprole and pymetrozineand is approved against several key rice pests. Similarly, the Fluxapyroxad + Difenoconazole combination brings two fungicidal active ingredients together for disease management in fruit crops, with applications in both grapes and apple.
Regulatory Conditions for Environmental Safety and Product Stability
The RC attached additional conditions to the approvals for Sulphur 60% + Spiromesifen 3.8% WDG and Flonicamid 4% + Chlorantraniliprole 4% + Pymetrozine 12% SC. Their labels and leaflets must carry cautionary statements regarding toxicity to fish, aquatic organisms and honeybees, including instructions to prevent contamination of water bodies and avoid application during active bee-foraging periods.
Both products are also subject to requirements for real-time or actual storage-stability data. Applicants must submit stability data covering a minimum of 30 months using the proposed formulation and commercial container within two and a half years of submitting the registration application. Failure to meet this requirement would result in the Registration Certificate being deemed cancelled.
The two formulations are also subject to fixation of maximum residue limits (MRLs) and have been granted a provisional shelf life of two years.
