21 September 2026, New Delhi: India’s Registration Committee (RC), under the Ministry of Agriculture approved a series of registrations for indigenous manufacture of crop protection products at its 476th meeting held on September 10, 2026, covering insecticides, fungicides and combination formulations for a range of crops. The meeting was chaired by Agriculture Commissioner and Registration Committee Chairman Dr. P. K. Singh.
The approvals covered products from PI Industries, Willowood Chemicals, UPL Sustainable Agri Solutions, FMC India, Chemley Agritech, Seedlings India and Agrow Allied Ventures, alongside an approval for import registration of Carfentrazone-ethyl Technical by Krishi Rasayan Exports.

Multiple insecticide formulations cleared
The Committee approved Flonicamid 7.5% + Chlorantraniliprole 6% + Bifenthrin 10% SC for indigenous manufacture by Willowood Chemicals for use against major rice pests, including brown planthopper, white-backed planthopper, green leafhopper, leaf folder and stem borer. The registration is subject to fixation of maximum residue limits (MRLs). The Committee also specified that a cautionary statement regarding toxicity to aquatic organisms may be incorporated on the product label and leaflet.
UPL Sustainable Agri Solutions received approval for indigenous manufacture of Ipconazole 2.35% + Metalaxyl 1.88% w/w ME. The registration covers disease management in maize, groundnut, cotton and soybean, with approved uses spanning Maydis blight, Fusarium stalk rot, banded leaf and sheath blight, downy mildew, collar rot, stem rot, damping off, leaf spot, root rot, Fusarium wilt and charcoal rot.
For cotton, FMC India received approval for Cyantraniliprole 20.85% w/w + Flonicamid 20.85% w/w SC. The formulation is registered for control of aphids, whitefly, thrips, jassids, cotton bollworm, tobacco caterpillar and pink bollworm. The approval is subject to MRL fixation, with the Committee also noting precautions concerning aquatic organisms and honeybees.
Two formulations approved for chilli
The meeting also cleared two multi-active insecticide formulations for chilli.
Chemley Agritech received approval for indigenous manufacture of Fluxametamide 4.5% + Pyriproxyfen 9.5% + Flonicamid 13% SE for control of thrips, black thrips, aphids, whitefly and jassids. The registration is subject to MRL fixation and includes a cautionary statement regarding toxicity to fish and other aquatic organisms.
Seedlings India was granted approval for Fluxametamide 5% + Flonicamid 15% + Abamectin 1.5% ME for chilli. The approved targets include aphids, whitefly, jassids, thrips, mites, fruit borer and tobacco caterpillar. The product carries cautionary provisions concerning aquatic organisms and honeybees.
Fluopyram technical registration
The RC also approved Fluopyram Technical 94.5% w/w minimum for indigenous manufacture by Agrow Allied Ventures Pvt. Ltd. under Section 9(3) of the Insecticides Act, 1968. The approval carries a provisional shelf life of two years and requires submission of real-time storage stability data.
Separately, Krishi Rasayan Exports Pvt. Ltd. received approval for registration of Carfentrazone-ethyl Technical 95% minimum for import as a new source. The approval is subject to confirmatory verification of GLP study raw data and submission of specified documents and information.
Stability and safety conditions
Several of the registrations approved during the meeting carry a provisional shelf life of two years. Applicants are required to submit real-time or actual storage stability data in the proposed formulation and container of sale for a minimum period of 30 months within two and a half years of submission of the application. The minutes state that failure to meet this requirement would result in cancellation of the registration certificate.
The meeting decisions also included product-specific cautionary statements concerning aquatic organisms and honeybees, reflecting environmental safety requirements attached to some of the approved formulations.
The 476th Registration Committee meeting thus cleared a broad set of crop protection registrations, with approvals spanning indigenous technical manufacture, formulated products and an import registration, alongside conditions related to MRLs, storage stability and environmental safety.
