Pioxaniliprole Technical 97.5% w/w min. is the technical-grade active ingredient of Pioxaniliprole, a novel insecticide developed by PI Industries. PI Industries describes Pioxaniliprole as its first crop-protection molecule discovered, developed and proven in India, following more than a decade of research and development.

In India’s 476th Registration Committee meeting held on September 10, 2026, the Registration Committee approved indigenous manufacture of Pioxaniliprole Technical 97.5% w/w minimum by PI Industries under Section 9(3) Technical Indigenous Manufacture (TIM). The technical registration carries a provisional shelf life of two years and does not specify a crop use, as it relates to the technical material rather than a formulated agricultural product.

The technical registration is particularly significant for India’s crop protection industry because Pioxaniliprole has been described by the Registration Committee as the first insecticide active ingredient discovered in India. The same meeting also approved Pioxaniliprole 20% w/v SC, a formulated product for use in rice, chilli, tomato and Bengal gram against specified insect pests.

Earlier, PI Industries had received permission for manufacture of Pioxaniliprole Technical 97.5% w/w min. for exportunder the Star Export category, demonstrating the molecule’s development as an internationally relevant crop-protection active ingredient.
