Pioxaniliprole 20% SC is a 20% w/v suspension concentrate insecticide formulation developed by PI Industries. The active ingredient, Pioxaniliprole, is a novel insecticide discovered and developed by PI Industries and received an ISO common name in 2023. It is associated with the diamide class of insecticides and has been developed for controlling important agricultural insect pests.

In India’s latest regulatory development, the Registration Committee approved Pioxaniliprole 20% w/v SC for indigenous manufacture under Section 9(3) as a formulated intermediate material (FIM) at its 476th meeting held on September 10, 2026. The approval covers rice, chilli, tomato and Bengal gram. Approved targets include yellow stem borer and leaf folder in rice; fall armyworm, fruit borer and tobacco caterpillar in chilli; fruit borer in tomato; and pod borer in Bengal gram.

The registration is significant for India’s crop protection industry because the Committee also approved Pioxaniliprole Technical 97.5% w/w minimum for indigenous manufacture by PI Industries.
