Saffire Crop Science Launches New Herbicide ‘PINAKA’ in Central India for Soybean Weed Management

31 March 2026, New Delhi: Saffire Crop Science, a group company of Crystal Crop Protection Ltd, has launched its herbicide ‘PINAKA’ in central India, Madhya Pradesh for use in soybean cultivation.

PINAKA is based on Trishakti technology (Active Ingredient: Quizalofop ethyl 3.6% + Fomesafen 12% + Imazethapyr 7% SC) and is designed to control weeds in soybean, including narrow-leaf and broadleaf weeds. Weed infestation continues to be a challenge in soybean across producing regions, including Madhya Pradesh.

The launch event included participation from distributors and channel partners from across the state.

Speaking at the event, Chief Executive Officer Anil Nirwal said, “PINAKA has the potential to effectively address existing weed challenges in soybean and will significantly contribute to farmer prosperity.”

Providing technical details, Dr. Saurabh Tripathi, Marketing Head said, “PINAKA eliminates the need for multiple herbicide combinations, thereby saving time, cost, and effort for farmers.”

Krishna Vinay Singh, Zonal Business Head said, “The company is focused on reaching a larger base of soybean farmers through strong extension activities. Our aim is to ensure proper awareness and correct usage of PINAKA so that farmers can derive maximum benefits.”
