Bilateral Meeting with H.E Asikin Yoeu, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia
24 April 2026, Brunei: The FAO Director-General, Dr QU Dongyu, met today with H.E Asikin Yoeu, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia, on the margins of the 38th Session of the FAO Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific.
The Director-General thanked the Under Secretary of State for Cambodia’s participation in the Regional Conference and reaffirmed FAO’s commitment to promoting food security and transforming agrifood systems through sustainable and inclusive development in the country.
The Under Secretary of State expressed appreciation for FAO’s strong support in the country and highlighted the need to strengthen collaboration in key sectors, including sustainable aquaculture and fisheries, forestry, and land and water management. The Under Secretary of State emphasized Cambodia’s initiatives to promote inclusive investment, exports, and partnerships in Cambodia’s agricultural sector and conveyed Cambodia’s readiness to share its experiences in promoting sustainable agricultural development.
