World Food Safety Day / Thailand’s Carries Out Advocacy Activities

04 July 2026, Rome: To commemorate World Food Safety Day 2026, the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS) of Thailand organized an advocacy event in Bangkok under the theme “From burden to solutions – safe food everywhere”. The event featured a live demonstration on “Safe Food Consumption”, covering the selection of raw ingredients, cleaning, food preparation, storage, and proper cooking practices. An exhibition showcasing organizations and agricultural products certified under national standards, as well as a seminar on “Future Food Trends under Food Safety Standards,” were also held to highlight the importance of translating scientific knowledge, evidence, and food safety standards into practical actions throughout the food chain to prevent foodborne diseases and ensure safe food for everyone.

The event also included an official ceremony to honour certified agricultural product marketplaces, certified organic product marketplaces and certified agricultural wholesale markets in recognition of their commitment to food safety standards. In addition, the event was livestreamed via Facebook Live to promote the key messages of World Food Safety Day. These activities aimed to raise public awareness of food safety and reinforce the importance of collective action across the food chain in translating knowledge into practical solutions for preventing foodborne diseases and building a safer and more sustainable food system.
