World Food Safety Day / Japanese Food Company Celebrates With Staff Activities
04 June 2026, US: In 2026, Zensho Co. Ltd. participated in World Food Safety Day for the fourth consecutive year.
Building upon the experience gained in the previous year, the Manufacturing Division independently planned and designed the programme, implementing activities aligned with this year’s theme: “From burden to solutions: safe food everywhere.”
At the outset, a lecture was delivered utilizing the Company’s internal guidebook, which is based on Codex Alimentarius standards, covering key topics such as food safety management systems, Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
Subsequently, participants were divided into six groups to undertake workshop sessions. Using a hypothetical incident as a case study, each group analyzed deficiencies in GHPs and HACCP implementation, identified root causes, and discussed appropriate corrective measures. The findings were then presented by each group, facilitating the exchange of perspectives and ideas among participants.
In conclusion, all participants reconvened to reflect on the significance of World Food Safety Day and to reaffirm the importance of ensuring the provision of safe food. A total of 40 participants from diverse functional areas took part in the event.
Zensho has developed an internal guidebook based on Codex standards with the aim of promoting and implementing food safety across the entire organization, and continues to advance employee education accordingly. By fostering a shared understanding that “food safety is the highest priority” and that “each individual’s actions are essential to ensuring food safety,” the Company is committed to continuous education and to cultivating a proactive and positive food safety culture.
