World Food Safety Day / Mexican Cold Cuts And Dairy Company Strengthens Its Culture With Quality And Food Safety Week
04 July 2026, Rome: For the fourth consecutive year, OMEX Alimentaria marked World Food Safety Day with its Quality and Food Safety Week—a comprehensive initiative that now engages production plants, distribution centres, administrative departments, and sales teams.
During this year’s event, employees participated in various activities that reinforced the importance of these principles at every stage of the value chain. These activities also provided a practical way to deepen their knowledge of organizational processes, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), the HACCP system, and the requirements of the FSSC 22000 certification scheme.
Pablo Galindo, Management Systems Manager, highlighted that this week serves as an opportunity to reflect on the role each employee plays in producing safe food. “Quality and food safety do not depend on a single process or specific department; they are the result of teamwork, the adoption of best practices, and the decisions we make every day. That is the culture we aim to strengthen.”
