World Food Safety Day / Indian Dairy Coop Addresses An Array Of Food Safety Issues In Week Long Training
13 June 2026, New Delhi: Dudhsagar Dairy, a dairy organization operating multiple plants, satellite facilities and milk chilling centres in Mehsana, India, marked World Food Safety Day 2026 with a week-long initiative aimed at strengthening food safety culture across its workforce.
The programme was designed to promote practical learning, employee engagement and continuous improvement in food safety practices across all operational levels.
The programme combined learning, engagement and internal assessment activities to reinforce good food safety practices across all operational levels.
Key activities included a technical visit to a reference dairy facility to observe good manufacturing practices and processing systems; employee engagement initiatives such as essay writing and slogan and poster competitions; cross-functional internal audits conducted across facilities to review key food safety controls, including temperature management, hygiene practices and Critical Control Point (CCP) monitoring.
In addition, targeted training sessions were delivered in local languages to support all categories of staff, focusing on allergen management, prerequisite programmes and hazard reporting. Food safety messages were also reinforced through visual communication materials displayed at facility entry points.
