World Food Safety Day / Wide Ranging Events For Employees At Mexican Food Company

11 June 2026, US: To celebrate World Food Safety Day, Grupo Jumex dedicated a day to raising awareness about the importance of ensuring safe food production. This year, they held an Expo with 17 booths, addressing key topics such as traceability, equipment cleaning and disinfection, pesticide control, prevention of cross-contact with allergens, contamination by foreign bodies, the impact of new products, and weighing defects, among others.

The event included the participation of the company’s seven production and packaging plants, as well as support areas (regulations, supply, logistics, warehousing, and laboratories) and packaging and raw material suppliers. On 2 and 3 June, at the plant located in Xalostoc, Ecatepec de Morelos, a total of 950 visitors attended. Additionally, the virtual conference “Food Safety and Quality Culture: A Vision Beyond Compliance” was held, with the participation of 220 employees from corporate areas of Grupo Jumex.

This initiative was also replicated at the regional plants in Monterrey, Chihuahua, and Mexicali, where presentations on food safety and quality were given to all personnel.
