World Food Safety Day / Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Honours Winners Of 3rd Food Safety Award
11 June 2026, Rome: Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, in collaboration with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and a wide network of federal and local strategic partners, held a ceremony to honour the winners of the 3rd Ras Al Khaimah Food Safety Award — marking World Food Safety Day 2026 under this year’s global theme: “From Burden to Solutions: Safe Food Everywhere.”
The event was attended by H.E. Munther Mohammed Bin Shukr Al Zaabi, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, alongside Adel Al Suwaidi, Director of the Public Health and Safety Department, senior government officials, and representatives from across the food sector of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This year’s award featured four key categories: Outstanding Food Establishment, Food Safety Frontline Champions, Outstanding Food Establishment Leader, and a Motivational Category aimed at encouraging establishments committed to adopting best food safety practices. The Outstanding Food Establishment Leader award marks the first time a regulatory authority in the country has created a dedicated award to recognize and empower leaders who drive food safety excellence within their organizations.
