SICIT Group Appoints Sergi Barrull as CEO
21 October 2026, Italy: SICIT Group has appointed Sergi Barrull as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Massimo Neresini as part of a planned leadership transition. The Italy-based company will focus on international expansion, commercial development and product innovation under Barrull’s leadership.
Barrull joined SICIT as General Manager in July 2025. Neresini, who has been with the company for nearly four decades and served as CEO for approximately 20 years, is stepping down after leading its development across agricultural and industrial markets.
SICIT plans to strengthen its commercial capabilities and expand its international presence while adopting a market-oriented approach to product development. The company intends to grow in Europe and Asia and expand into North and South America through organic growth and acquisitions.
Its innovation strategy will focus on three technology platforms: collagen-derived peptide fractions, Patagonian seaweed extracts and Moringa-based botanicals. SICIT aims to develop solutions supported by locally validated data and performance assessments.
“It is an honour to lead SICIT at such an important moment,” Barrull said. He added that the company would build on its technical capabilities, product quality and sustainability practices while entering additional markets and improving the speed at which it delivers solutions to customers.
