Escorts Kubota Introduces Two New Tractors MU4502 and MU5002
18 August 2026, Faridabad: Escorts Kubota Limited has introduced two new tractors, the Kubota MU4502 and MU5002, rated at 45 HP and 50 HP respectively, expanding its premium utility tractor portfolio in the 41–50 HP segment of the Indian tractor market.
The two models come with an industry-first 8-year transferable warranty, which remains with the tractor even if ownership changes. According to the company, the warranty is intended to provide longer-term ownership assurance and support the resale value of the tractors.
Both tractors are powered by Kubota’s KQP4 Japanese engine and feature a 12F + 4R Multi-Speed Synchromesh Gearbox. The transmission provides multiple speed options for applications ranging from tillage to haulage. The tractors also feature Pompa Lift with Dual Stabilizer Spring (DSS) Technology, designed to maintain implement stability and working depth, including on uneven terrain.
The MU4502 and MU5002 are part of Escorts Kubota’s premium Kubota brand, alongside its Farmtrac and Powertrac tractor brands. The expanded MU range now comprises the MU4201, MU4501, MU4502, MU5002 and MU5502.
Designed for Multiple Farm Applications
The new tractors feature full LED lighting, a flat-deck platform, bucket seat, suspended pedals, double-acting power steering and ergonomically positioned controls. Balancer shaft technology is also used to reduce vibration during operation.
The MU4502 and MU5002 are designed to operate with a range of primary and secondary tillage and farm implements, including super seeders, seed drills, potato planters, mini round balers and cultivators. They are targeted at farming operations involving crops such as paddy, wheat, maize, pulses and soybean, in addition to haulage and other commercial applications.
A reverse PTO is available for specialised applications, including rotavators and straw reapers. The tractors are positioned for landholdings of five acres and above and are being offered across India.
Commenting on the launch, Nikhil Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director, Escorts Kubota Limited, said the 41–50 HP segment remains an important part of the Indian tractor market.
“The new MU4502 and MU5002 strengthen our position in it with a more complete premium utility offering. Aimed at progressive farmers, existing tractor owners looking to upgrade, contract farming operators and custom hiring businesses across diverse cropping patterns and farming practices, these tractors reflect our strategy of focusing on the segments that matter most to India’s farmers,” he said.
Akira Kato, Deputy Managing Director, Escorts Kubota Limited, said the new models combine Kubota’s Japanese engineering with features intended for long-term farm use.
“The proven KQP4 engine, matched with a 12F + 4R Multi-Speed Synchromesh Gearbox and Pompa Lift with DSS Technology, is designed to keep running costs low and deliver dependable performance season after season,” he said.
Rajan Chugh, Chief Officer, Tractor Division, said the company is positioning the tractors around productivity and earning potential rather than horsepower alone.
“These 4WD tractors help farmers do more work in every hour, earn more from every acre, and take on custom hiring as an additional source of income. Backing that earning potential, we are proud to introduce an industry-first 8-Year Transferable Warranty,” he said.
The warranty remains attached to the tractor when ownership changes, according to the company, providing continuity of warranty coverage and potentially supporting resale value.
